Attendance Works anaylsis has found chronic absence has increased dramatically since pre-Covid times and that missing just 10 percent of school days can significantly harm a student’s academic achievements.
Based on its research, Attendance Works has put together key strategies school districts can use to reduce chronic absenteeism, starting with collecting data to identify where intervention and prevention are needed.
